V for vendetta directed by James McTeigue is about a vigilante V who was a prisoner at larkhill a medical centre where they used humans as test subjects. The medical centre blew up leaving V severally burnt and with unnatural super strength. V believes those involved should be killed and the corrupt government needs a change. An idea in the film is the idea that that people can be influenced to do things and change who they are. For example V influences Evey to not be afraid; V also influences the people of England not to be afraid and to stand with him and V was influenced by Valerie to stand for what he believes.
In the film V for Vendetta Directed by James McTeigue V influences Evey not to be afraid. The director’s purpose is to show that if you can overcome fair nothing and no one can stop you. V kidnaps Evey and puts her in a prison cell he tortures her and makes her believe hes the government trying to get to him. The director uses Lighting to show fear in the prison cell he uses a dark blue filter and black to portray a cold, scary scene and helped us to feel how Evey felt. The director also uses dialogue to show how effective Vs torture and imprisonment was for Evey. Evey had one last chance to give in before she would be killed but instead she says “I would rather die behind the chemical sheds.” This shows us that Evey is no longer afraid. The director’s purpose is to help us to understand that people can be influenced to change even if it’s not for the right reasons. The director’s purpose is to also show us that peoples decisions can be influenced by someone important in their life.
