As a manager it is very important to work with your staff as the overall goal is to ensure each resident receives the highest standard of care. If bad communication is upheld then the relationship between manager and staff will breakdown resulting in them not working together which overall would have a negative effect on the residents.
Its important to be approachable and have regular staff meetings as well as supervisions to ensure everyone is working within regulation a chance to discuss any issues on both parts and resolve them as well as making a development plan to ensure everyone understands what direction they are heading.
