There are many different areas, which will assist me as a future educator to teach mathematics in an early childhood setting. I must remember to ask question, which will assist students allowing them to investigate and use their higher order thinking. Asking questions, which are right for their level, is important and will assist them to be successful. Providing a safe and engaging environment that allows children to learn through play is essential in helping their mathematical knowledge to grow. Creating experiences that are hand on will allow students to enjoy mathematics in an area, which is appealing to them.
