Personally, I strongly recommend you to pay attention is math class. I was a student that the teacher hated but also loved so they let do anything. I always sat right next to my best friend and all we did was talk. After taking the state tests this year, I wish I really didn’t talk the whole time. I had freedom to work on any assignments, I could hang out with my friends and I could do stuff that was really important during lunch that a club did not get in the way of. I heard my friends talk about how much being in a club was an issue for them and that they didn’t like it. As I look back on my 8th grade year, I am very happy that I didn’t join a club, but it really depends on the type of person you are.
Thirdly, I would advocate for you to dress up on the dress- up days. I dressed up every dress-up day and they were such a blast. My close friend group always dressed out and were practically the only ones. I fully encourage any and everyone to dress up no matter what. I was so much fun to be at school and wear something crazy; it was kind of a break from the regular and common school
