Some of the deadliest incidents in history were caused by some of the most childish reasons; a prime example of this being the Holocaust, one of the most death heavy events in history. Such a mass killing was executed solely for the purpose of ‘eliminating the inferior’. “During the era of the Holocaust, German authorities also targeted other groups because of their perceived ‘racial inferiority’”. (‘Introduction to the Holocaust’ 1) The victims were seen as enemies, and were eradicated and/or unfairly treated for no reasonable cause. “My father’s lumber business was confiscated and given to a non-Jew, and we received no compensation” (Connolly 1). Another example of this is 9/11, with there little to no evidence to justify the tragedy aside from the victims being American. Thousands were killed, Many of those being police officers and firefighters who risked their lives to save the lives of others. “In just a few hours, close to 3,000 people had been killed. “The Nazis, who came to power in Germany in January 1933, believed that Germans were "racially superior" and that the Jews, deemed "inferior," were an alien threat to the so-called German racial community.” (Holocaust Encyclopedia 1) One can be certain that this is not the most justifiable reason for a mass genocide, and that it is quite unfair to kill an enormous group of people simply because of harmless aspects of themselves that they can barely
