A worldview is a fundamental orientation expressed as a set of presuppositions that people hold about what constitutes reality. Some of the most dominant worldviews include deism, naturalism, nihilism, existentialism, Eastern pantheism, Christian theism, the new consciousness, and postmodernism.
Deism is the belief that God the creator of the universe exists and that after He made the universe, He retreated and no longer interacts with his creations. This worldview also holds that God does not manifest himself directly and humans can only understand him by studying the world through the application of reason. Since God is detached from the universe, his creation administers through natural laws without intervention from the creator (Christensen 422-424). Deism also rejects the Bible as being the inspired word of God because He is no longer active or relevant. To deists, God is no longer interested in humans or earthly affairs. Deists do not embrace any religion, and they may also not be atheists.

It also holds that there is no God, no creator, and no first cause and that all that matters are matter. Besides, this worldview holds that humans are an unfolding natural process and that everything they are and do connects to the rest of the universe (Parfit). Additionally, it claims that people are fully physical creatures who have excellent control over their circumstances. Naturalism also stresses that there is nothing supernatural about existence and humans do not have souls that continue with life after death. Naturalists believe that people hold their own destiny and no particular supernatural power influence
