As Christians we have a responsibility to protect the environment. Health is the capacity to be self-sufficient, to adapt to life stressors, realize one’s potential, and obtain unity of mind, body and soul (McEwen & Willis, 2014, p. 42). I agree with nursing theorists who recommend expanding this concept to include quality of life. Health is often viewed as a physical status, where quality of life is a more holistic view that incorporates psychological and social well-being in addition to the physical.
