Abortion Should Be Illegal
Abortion is one of the most discussed and controversial issues currently facing America. Abortion should be illegal for many of reasons. Abortion can cause Harmful and physical effects to the woman, who undergoes an Abortion. Abortion is murder, and lastly there are so many other option’s instead of having an Abortion. The 40th President of the United States of America say’s "I've noticed that everybody that is for abortion has already been born." (Ronald Reagan)
To begin with, Abortion can cause many health problems for the woman who undergoes the Abortion. Breast cancer is increased by 44 percent after a woman has an abortion. The doctors conducting the new study are based at the Department of Gastroenterology and Human Nutrition Unit, All India. The Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi and India states “Abortions leave the breast epithelium in a proliferative state with an increased susceptibility to carcinogenesis,” After you have an Abortion you’re hormone levels significantly change research shown by at the Department of Gastroenterology and Human Nutrition Unit they doctors say “Clinical, animal, and epidemiological studies have clearly demonstrated that cancer is a hormonally mediated disease and several factors that influence hormonal status or are markers of change in hormonal status have been shown to be associated with the risk of breast cancer,”
Next, At least forty-nine studies have showed a statistically significant increase in premature births or low birth weight risk in women who have had an abortion. “Low birth weight and premature birth are the most important risk factors for infant mortality or later disabilities as well as for lower cognitive abilities and greater behavioral problems.” Says Dr. Elizabeth Shadigan who specials in Obstetrics and gynecology. Teenage girls are at increased risk because they have immature cervixes and "run the risk of a difficult and potentially traumatic dilation." (C. Powell, Problems of Adolescent Abortion, Ortho Panel 14, Toronto General Hospital--quoted in Willke's book p.115). In one study of 50 teenage girls who had abortions there were 47 later "wanted" pregnancies. Of these 47 pregnancies 66% ended in defective births, including 19 miscarriages and 7 premature births. Only 34% ended with a full-term delivery of a healthy child.
Then, this leads us to the mental side effects. Many women suffer psychological disorders after having an abortion. Studies that Norm Coleman Republican Sir Senator of Minnesota (MN) talks about is “women who have terminated their pregnancies shows that 42% have major depression, 39% have anxiety disorder, and 27% have suicidal ideation due to post abortion stress.” The authors of the study say those high rates are the result of women facing pressure or coercion to have an abortion or, at minimum, a feeling of uncertainty about having it.
Now, a new study proven by researchers at the University of Manitoba finds women who have had abortions are about four times more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol then those who carried their pregnancy full term. "In the area of substance abuse the increased risk for alcohol abuse, alcohol dependence, drug abuse, drug dependence, and any substance use disorder were equal to 261%, 142%, 313%, 287%, and 280% respectively,". Priscilla Coleman court artist for ITN told LifeNews.com. "Between 5.8% and 24.7% of the national prevalence of all the above disorders was determined to be related to abortion." Coleman analyzed the study further and found that, when compared to women without a history of abortion, those who had an abortion had a 61% increased risk for mood disorders. Social Phobia was linked with a 61% increased risk and suicide ideation was
