“Bump, bump, bump, bump” from your first pump of crimson blood streaming through your veins to your first crystal clear tears running down your face, you had always had someone there to confront you, perhaps a father. Many people have fathers that are “absent” or just simply a bad influence, but there are fathers who are excellent. In the eyes of the beholder, others, what is a good father? Individuals have varieties of unique perspectives.
Nevertheless of the different perspectives, there is a man with a firm grasp of a medium size bottle of liquor, different brands and colors everyday. He is constantly pouring it down his mouth, as if it was the last drink of liquid he will ever receive in his lifetime. Wobbling side by side, barely able to walk, stand for the matter. A bad father. He constantly verbally, or physically abusing his children, family, he is a bad influence for his family. On the other hand, there are fathers who are gone, having nothing to do with their children. “Absent” fathers are horrible for their children. There are predecessors passing down their knowledge of “parenthood” to their children. Although there are times where fathers learn how to become a “good father” on their own. A good father might constantly be involved with his family, if not always most of the time. He comes from home exhausted, ready to sleep until the end of time, working hard to support his family, but he still has time to strike up a conversation with his children. A man who understands his children, caring, listening to them, being strict about certain possessions, and opportunities. Is this what may people consider a good father? A family man? Meanwhile, social media, and movies only portray fathers as lousy human beings. Nevertheless, good fathers do exist, take a glimpse
