always the method that works best. In some cases children need to be shown patience, care and they need to be taught what is right. We especially need to help those who face racial discrimination, as well of the difficulties of having a criminal record after they leave the facility. When they leave a correctional facility they face a much harder road than their white counter parts. Even after these African American males are released from prison they struggle to gain back their life. It is harder for them to attain a job with a criminal record. Many of the relationships they had when they entered prison have been torn asunder. Because of the increased disadvantages prisoners face it is not uncommon for them to end up homeless.
