Animation- A graphic representation of drawings to show movement within those drawings.

Technicolor- A system of making color motion pictures by means of superimposing the three primary colors to produce a final color print.

Featured Length Film-A feature film is a film that runs for 40 minutes or longer

3D- Pertaining to, or representing something in three dimensions; three dimensional

Cel- Clear plastic sheet, generally the same size as Animation paper. Drawings were transferred to cells when they were to be combined with a BG in one pass.

Stop Motion- Used for many animation productions, stop motion uses physical objects rather than images of people.

Character animation-is a specialized area of the animation process concerning the animation of one or more characters featured in an animated work. It is usually as one aspect of a larger production and often made to enhance voice acting. The primary role of a Character Animator is to be the "actor" behind the performance, especially during shots with no dialog. Character animation is artistically unique from other animation in that it involves the creation of apparent thought and emotion in addition to physical action.

Keyframe -in animation and film making is a drawing that defines the starting and ending points of any smooth transition. They are called "frames" because their position in time is measured in frames on a strip of film. A sequence of keyframes defines which movement the viewer will see, whereas the position of the keyframes on the film, video or animation defines the timing of the movement. Because only two or three keyframes over the span of a second do not create the illusion of movement, the remaining frames are filled with inbetweens.
