Like when there was this study conducted in at 41 medical centres in the United States; which was a 3-month, 4-arm, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study. All 4 patients with schizophrenia were first given risperidone orally (maximum daily dose, 4 mg) and continued to receive oral risperidone for a total of 4 weeks. 1 of 3 doses of risperidone LAI (from 25 mg to 75 mg) every 2 weeks were received by patients in 3 study arms, whereas the fourth was injected with placebo. All risperidone LAI treatment groups experienced considerably greater developments in their total Positive and Negative Symptom Scale (Pandina et al., 2011) scores than those who received placebo.
