Have you ever heard of the Himalayas and Appalachians? Well, if you haven’t, they are two unique mountains with different physical features and people.

The topography of the Himalayas and Appalachians have similarities. For example, even though the Appalachians are older, they are both elderly mountain ranges. The Appalachians are over 100 million years old with a varied landscape, and the Himalayas, on the other hand, are just beneath 30 million years of age. In addition, they both include tall mountains. The Appalachians, that include Mount Mitchell, which stands 6,684 feet and is the highest point in these Northern American highlands.
