You’ve probably heard about all of the deadly shootings from now to years and years ago, You’ve probably heard people blame the gun laws all over the United States and protest for no more guns. But what if I could show you evidence and statistics to show it’s not just the law’s fault, it’s the law, and the person behind the gun most of the time?

Well let’s start with the basics, what is gun control? Gun control relates to the legal measures for preventing the use of firearms. People are saying no to gun’s due to the mass shootings around the world putting their kids and loved ones in danger, However I feel like the gun law is a smaller problem and the person behind the gun is the reason all of this is happening. If we look at the statistics, most websites say that only 4% of gun violence is done by people with mental illness (not including suicide). The sites are probably accurate because multiple different organizations say the same thing. However there also is room for error, how did they find out how the 4% had a mental illness? Did they question them after taking them in? There are people you are unable to get answers from, such as the users who committed suicide after their killings. …show more content…
