The 17th Century brought us Baroque art which deliberately evokes intense emotional responses. Artists sought lifelike depiction of their world of everyday life, religious scenes enacted by ordinary people, lifelike renderings and Classical references.(Textbook) I was inspired by Baroque paintings that I would love to see and ones I would love to jump in and participate. I tried to imagine myself living during that time. I tried to think of rides and entertainment at an amusement park that I would participate in and enjoy the experience.

Participants will walk up a tall hill to the top. The rider will lay down on a wide board with 4 wheels to slide down the hill so they will be looking up while plummeting to the bottom. The slide will be flanked by Corinthian columns that support an arched ceiling that covers the slide. The arch will contain frescoes that appear three-dimensional. At the beginning of the ride the frescoes will show grotesque people of the damned and appear to be coming down to capture you. In the middle of the slide it will get darker and you will barely see the images of devils dressed with horns and tails that carry pitchforks, swords, and mauls to make you feel you have been captured in the middle of hell and there is no way out. This ride will be mildly terrifying but not so bad that you will not want to ride it again just to experience the 3D effect and to see the beautiful artwork. Then almost at the end it will get brighter and you will see cherubs and angels floating and flying down to come and take you to heaven. At the very end a person dressed like Jesus will help you up and give you blessings and remind you to live a life of piety and
