I am more than thrilled to not only be presented with the prospect to apply to become a lab assistant, but the chance to demonstration my worthiness. I am enthusiastic to use my learner skills, just like when I was shadowing Dr. Paul Stelzer last year, I am willing to absorb new information at any given moment. As a lab assistant, you have to adapt to your surroundings immediately, as a former volunteer in NY Methodist Hospital, I have developed the ability to adapt to my surroundings quickly. Despite the position it is essential for one to retain leadership skills, while volunteering at a daycare I was a teacher’s assistant and even though there was a teacher present I had to lead the children when the teacher would leave the room.
