“It has ever since been a pleasure to me to see good workman handle their tools... and to construct little machines experiment for myself...” (page 9). This idea of constructing own experiments led Franklin to assist in building forts in Pennsylvania during the war. It also led him wanting to build a college and a militia in Pennsylvania However Quakers dominated Pennsylvania assembly in which they spread the idea of nonviolence, which led Franklin to settle for a voluntary militia. Wanting to develop and fight for England due to his ideals of bettering the society caused him to be loyal. Franklin’s interest in Reading and Writing and his belief in constantly improving himself had led him to built up a strong powerful way of writing from which he wrote a Pamphlet entitled PLAIN TRUTH. In this Pamphlet he mentioned the threats Pennsylvania faced and how it needed as much help as possible. Due to his influential words, Franklin was able to gain several volunteers. Through these virtues such as resolution, frugality, Justice, moderation; especially resolution, order and industry, Franklin was able to fight for independence for the colonies during the American Revolution. These virtues led him to believe in justice, into realizing how unfair the colonies were being treated among the Parliament. Franklin after trying to accomplish all the virtues, decided to form a party in which people would follow these virtues. He projected this idea in order to improve society by influencing people to act in favor of mankind or for the good of their country. This idea was supported to influence the colonies to unite with one another, instead of being self-absorbed they should fight for their independence. Due to his success in the business Franklin was appointed as the postmaster general of colonies where he fought for equal taxes. After realizing how harsh and unreasonable the king and the governors were, Franklin decided to fight for justice and equality leading to an act of patriotism towards the colonies during the American Revolution. Throughout his writing, Franklin mentions his love for books and the library that he found in Philadelphia. He portrays the library as something
