During my undergraduate education at Boston College, I would like to explore and to realize the inner potential I have and to transform the world and myself for the better. I believe that Boston College’s diverse student body would open my mind to new and dynamic cultural perspectives as well as innovative ideas that cannot be acquired in the classroom alone. This being said, I will devote more time on preparing for a meaningful life because success in life is not just about having a good career. While a good career contributes to have a meaningful life, there are many other imperative factors such as friendship, family and happiness.
In addition, I believe that the ability to judge well is imperative for an individual to succeed in life. As a teenager, sometimes I am not conscious about the small decisions I make, but that I might later regret. Through my undergraduate experience, my goal is to acquire awareness of the word around me and to grow as a person who contributes to achieve social welfare with love and care for others. Jesuit education’s emphasis on been attentive, caring and loving will help me to achieve these goals.

In today’s world, every piece of knowledge is valuable. Concentrating in a specific major might provide me with a good job, but a liberal arts education will provide me with the ability to free myself not only intellectually but also spiritually. For instance, being an accountant does not mean that knowledge in ethics or biology would not benefit me.
