Society today has become so accustomed to escaping their boredom and the world around them by turning to their devices for entertainment. This has relinquished their lives to their devices, as well as depleted their ability to think freely. Ultimately giving up their freedom to their leaders. If the population is constantly fleeing their sense of boredom, they are not allowing themselves to have any time to think, therefore resulting in them listening to any person in charge.
