Nasir Andrews was a nine year old girl who was being bullied at Ardmore Elementary School in Bellevue, Washington. Many kids would call her a “servant” and “Nutella”. Students in her class drew a picture of a loaded gun and put it in Nasir’s cubby. Her parents stated that the paper on top had said “die die die die.” Nasir parents also stated that they didn’t feel like Nasir was safe at her school at all and said it’s hard for a parent to deal with their child being harrassed by her classmates. Nasir didn’t feel like she belonged there at all. Kids tend to commit suicide to get out of their problems and it eventually causes the enemies to win the fight. The background of schools is that Bullying has a lengthy history. In the article, “What is Bullying”, it states that “The 2014-2015 school crime supplement indicates that, nationwide, about 21% of students ages 12-18 experienced bullying” (What Is). In schools we need more safety because kids tend to always think they are in danger because the bully might be way bigger than them or they are just to scared to inform a teacher or anybody because what if the bully threatens them. Another appeal is more love. We need to show support and love towards the person that’s being bullied or even the bully itself. Love is a big emotion when it comes to bullying. People just need all the love they can get. The last appeal is more self-esteem.
