Bullying is one of the top ten problems facing public schools today. 3.2 million children are bullied every year whether in school or out of school. Bullying comes in many forms including verbal, physical, and technological. Physical abuse is found starting at the age of two throught the age of 17 (4). It includes tripping, pushing, hitting, slapping, spitting, stealing and destroying property. About forty-five percent of boys experience physical bullying. Though many of these actions happen, they are not considered bullying signs until it is repeated and intentional behavior. Four percent of teachers to do not intervene (1). Many children, sixty-seven percent, confess that adult help does not solve the problem rarely lessens the problem. Involving mostly girls, verbal abuse is the most common form of bullying in the United States. Fifty percent of girls are victims from psychological bullied. Suicide is the leading cause of death from fifteen to twenty-four year olds. Sixteen percent of teens seriously consider suicide, thirteen percent form a plan of action, and eight percent of teens will make a serious attempt to go through with it (5). Many teen commit suicide throughout the year because of bullying. Not only do teens feel trapped, but they also feel like there's no better way to get rid of the problem other than to kill themselves. Though schools, have assemblies regarding what to do if bullying occurs, teens rarely feel like they can tell an adult. By the age of fourteen, thirty percent of boys and forty percent of girls will not reach out to adults or peers for help. Adult intervention only reaches four percent, peer intervention reaches eleven percent and no intervention reaches eighty-five percent (6).This is what causes suicide to be considered an
