Business Planning Final Paper
I plan to start a sporting goods store located in a couple locations throughout Long Island. The business is going to be based in Great Neck. Although there are a few sporting good stores in Long Island, I plan to make the prices of my products cheaper than the others. I think that by doing this, I can make my business more successful than the other sporting good stores throughout Long Island. Also, I want to sell products for unique sports such as archery, croquet, cricket, fishing, bowling, and boxing, as well as the more basic sports like baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, hockey, football, and lacrosse. The name of the store will be HD Sports because the products I plan on selling are going to be sold at a better price as well as better quality, just like HD Television has better quality than regular television. The goal of my new business is to sell new products relating to sports that aren’t very popular, but are on the rise. The main sport that this idea relates to is lacrosse. I want to satisfy my customers that are buying my products and make HD Sports so popular that all the other sporting good stores located in Long Island will begin to struggle, or even go out of business. The people this store will be targeting are mainly teenagers that are primarily interested in lacrosse, but also interested in other popular sports like basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis, and football. I want to get this business to an early peak and I hope to keep it there. I think that now is a good time to open up a sporting goods store because I know many people in Great Neck that play lacrosse, and have to either order their equipment online because the sporting good stores don’t have very good products in terms of quality, or have to travel a good amount to find a store that sells quality lacrosse products. I plan to sell quality lacrosse products at a decently low price so that it’s more convenient for Great Neck customers and so I can assure that customers will go to my store because the prices are lower. The products that I am going to sell will not only make you look good, but they will make you play better! The main reason I think that HD Sports will be more successful than the other sporting good stores located on Long Island is that my store is more unique than the rest. Other than my wide variety of sporting goods for each sport that are sold throughout my store, I also am going to have an online website where you can buy all of the products that are for sale in the store. I want to advertise my sporting goods store as much as I can. If it is possible, I would want a famous athlete on my commercials on television, just like Nike has with Lebron James and Adidas has with Derrick Rose. I believe that this will really help improve my business because teenage athletes look up to and admire these famous athletes on the commercials. They want to be just like them when they are older. This should help attract more customers. I also want to advertise my company with signs and posters all over stadiums and arenas, which helps attract fans and spectators of these sports teams to my business. I think that if
