This is an important factor when training, as the higher the altitude the greater they affect on the body. Before examining other studies one must understand there are classification of heights. (MacDougall et al., 1991) came up with the classification of different altitude training. The first classification is high altitude, which has a ranch of 1500m-3500m above sea level. When an athlete reaches this altitude their body goes through many physiologic changes. The body undergoes these changes due to a decrease in oxygen pressure. This decrease in oxygen pressure has positive correlation with an increase in ventilation. At this altitude athletes must be carful not to descend to quickly. There is also a correlation between altitude sickness and rapid decent. (Bärtsch 2008), P also found a correlation between rapid decent and mountain sickness, in his paper he claimed this was due to the athletes saturation dropping that at first would lead to a headache and if not treated could have worse side
