I have thought long and hard about the career path I would like to purse. I always knew that I wanted to be in healthcare so I could provide care and love to those who need it. When I was younger nursing always interested me the most they always seem the most caring. I have a big sister whom just graduated with her BSN and another with her LVN. To be surrounded by such great woman it has inspired and pushed me to became better and strive for success. The road that would lead me to finish school was not easy. I’m a stay at home mom to 4 beautiful kids and they were my main priority for the longest until the church announced pathway program. With Pathway, the window of opportunity was open and I jumped right in. I knew I could only do the class online so pathway was perfect and when I saw the list of online degrees Healthcare Administration jumped right out at me. …show more content…
The more I looked and search into this career choice the more excited I became. I still had a lot of unanswered questions concern about the daily task and day to day of this career. I’m thankful for this course because it informed and teaches me a lot about healthcare and the role of administrators. I learned that with a degree in Healthcare Administration it can provide many job opportunities.
What I have planned so far is when I graduate with my bachelor’s degree is to go straight into the workforce. I would love to get my feet wet and gain some experience in the workplace. I know I would have to work under someone as an administrator assistant until I gain further knowledge and a better understanding. Having a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare administration is just the entry-level preparation needed. The way I feel is we all have to start from the bottom to work our way to the top.
