Career Research Technology is the making, modification, usage, and knowledge of tools, machines, techniques, crafts, systems, methods of organization, in order to solve a problem, improve a preexisting solution to a problem, achieve a goal, handle an applied input or output relation or perform a specific function. (technology). This paper focuses on careers in the technology field. There are quite a few paths one can take when pursuing a career in the technology field. These careers can range from entry level positions such as a Desk Support Analyst to management positions such as a Project Leader and as with any career, there are advantages and disadvantages. Some of the advantages of a career in the technology field are compensation, alternative work program such as telecommuting, challenging environment and learning new skills. On the other hand, some of the disadvantages are long hours including some late nights and weekends, much less women than men in this field. Three of the possible careers in the technology field are Business System Analyst, Data Security Analyst and a Programmer. A Business System Analyst is responsible for reviewing or analyzing programs or application used by a company and suggesting technology changes or improvements to help overall functions. This position would require someone with great people and communication skills as well as an analytical mind. Some of the tasks performed by a Business System Analyst would include coding, testing and debugging applications as well as training users. The average annual salary of a Business System Analyst is just over $60,000. A Data Security Analyst is more or less responsible auditing and assessing risk to applications, systems or mainframes from unauthorized users. This position would require researching
