Carl Robins struggles with some challenges he face on his job. He did not realize that being the recruiter for ABC, Inc. would be so difficult. He was employed for only six months before he had some big decisions to make. Carl did not understand how important his role was with the company. Carl hired fifteen new trainees. It was not until days before the trainees were supposed to start, Carl forgot to cover some important things with his trainees. He forgot to handle some very important things that the company required. Carl received a position as a campus recruiter for ABC, Inc. He has had the job for only six months. Ms., Monica needed some help so Carl hired 15 new trainees. Carl has only had his job for six months and he did not know how difficult the job could be. Carl scheduled a new hire orientation that was supposed to start on June 15. The plan was to have the new hires working no later than July. On May 15 Ms. Carrol contacted Carl to make sure all the trainees paper work was in place. She was inquiring about training scheduling, orientation manuals, policy booklets, physicals, drug test, and some other important things. Carl was responsible for making sure all the trannies had all this information in their files. Carl told Ms., Carol that everything was ok and everything would be ready on time. After Memorial Day as Carl was sitting in his office going through the files he realized he had plenty of important things missing from all fifteen trainees folder. This was a huge mistake and did not look good for Carl. Some of the new trainees had not completed their application, and some of the others had not provided copies of their transcript. None of the trainees had been to take their drug test. Drug test was required before starting the job. Carl became upset and frustrated about the situation. He took a walk to calm down. When he returned to his office he took a walk to the room where he scheduled orientation. That’s when he discovered that Joe, from Technology Services was setting up for computer training that he had scheduled for the entire month of June. Carl went into panic mode. He went back to his office trying to come up with a plan. He had to figure out a way to fix this problem so his job would not be jeopardized. Carl faces a number of problems. Carl has two weeks before the new trainees start training. Several of the trainees have incomplete applications. Transcripts are missing from some. The whole crew have not been sent to take a drug test which is required by the company. There are only three orientation manuals and they are incomplete. The training room is doubled booked. All of these problems shows disorganization in the company. Carl needs to come up with a solution very quickly before his job end up on the line. He needs to contact all of the trannies to get them on board. He need to get them to come into his office to get them to get their applications done. He needs to request the transcript’s that are missing. He also needs to set up times to get the drug test done for all fifteen trainees. With some of the orientation manuals missing important training material, Carl needs to gather all pages needed to complete the training manual. Carl needs to make 16 copies so that all the trainees, including himself, will have one. With the double booking of the training room, Carl has to explain the issue to his supervisor even if this situation makes him look bad. With him letting Carrol know what’s going on they may be able to find another conference room to use to get orientation taken care of. Something will work out even
