The purpose of the case study group presentations is to bring in practical marketing issues into class. The educational objective of this assignment is for the group and students in the class to grasp of most recent marketing efforts in addition to what may happen in the future related to marketing of a particular subject. Each group will be in-charge of presenting information and leading in a class discussion of issues related to your case study topic. Group assignments will be done in class and finalized via Moodle.
Your topic areas are VERY general. It is up to your group as to what focus on. To do this, your group must research articles that relate to marketing aspects of your topic. These will most likely come from popular press/sites (SI, USA Today, youtube, deadspin, etc.) but also research related journals (e.g., the Sport Business Journal, Fox Sport Business, MSNBC Sport Business) or even academic journals (e.g., Sport Marketing Quarterly). Once you have found many articles, meet as a group to discuss themes or commonalities.
Use this information to create an 8-10 minute class presentation on what you have found. Make sure to mention your literature, but do not go over the articles verbatim (focus on the major themes you got from them).
