When Empires reach their highest point, the point in which their society is thriving and they are at their strongest point, they are practically unstoppable. However, the harsh reality in which every Empire faces is the unfortunate collapse of an Empire, in other words the downfall of an Empire. Disease was the cause of many Empires like the Roman and Han Dynasty Empires to collapse. Cross Cultural Interaction is a big part of every empire, for many Empires it is the reason why they flourish. With the fact that Cross Cultural Interaction helps empires flourish it is also responsible for the spread of disease in Empires such as the Roman Empire. If you can imagine only the damage that sick domesticated animals caused destroying the first of nomadic people to settle down and try to build societies. For the Nomads that would survive the diseases, they would eventually become immune to the disease and pass their immunity to their offspring. The same would be implied for animals who would survive the disease, they too would pass their immunity to their offspring. The development of immunity in both Humans and Animals would help and be the main reason why societies over time have been able to develop into major empires and advance cities over time. We won't be immune to every disease though, there will always be new diseases that pop up overtime and will affect us and at times even destroy the strongest societies and empires that we thought would never fall, especially to disease. Diseases will be the deciding point for many societies and empires as time goes on, disease will make or break us. Disease will be around as long the earth is around and the world keeps moving. The spread of Plague would become so bad that in 1331, about ninety percent of the population of Hebe province would die from the disease. The demographic consequences of the epidemic would include the disease rudcing the Chinese population, along with Mongolian conflicts in the beginning of the 13th century, at the time the chinese population would stand at about eighty-five million. In 1400, after the Epidemic being around for about seventy years, the Chinese population would have decreased to seventy-five million people.
