Why Clinical Mental Health Counseling
My drive to become a clinical mental health counselor is out of compassion and understanding that no matter what the situation or path is given to you there is a way to come out stronger. As an adolescent I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder and Anxiety (A.D.D), I have come to figure out that these things do not define who I am. I am more than what has been dealt to me. My goal is to help other adolescents come to that realization just like those teachers and counselors that helped me. My personal and professional goal is to always keep learning and growing as a person. I hope to work with individuals who teach me something new. I never want to come to a point in my career where I become complacent.
