I enjoy talking with complete strangers, learning from them, and making a connection with them on a particular subject matter. The thing I like to do the most is to help people figure out their goals or solve a problem, such as determining an educational path that will help them achieve their educational goal(s). The thing I wish I were better at is administrative organizational skills. As Hallowell (2011) states in the questionnaire, it may be something I should delegate to someone else. One of my previous administrative assistants, kept me on task and organized. It helped my daily attitude, because it allowed me to focus on creating and nourishing educational partnerships with other institutions. However, it is something for which I can seek a mentor. The talent that I have not developed is negotiating. While I can build relationships and partnerships for my college, I hand over the strong relationship to my leadership and they conduct the negotiation element of the partnership.
