The most heart warming feeling is to be needed or wanted, especially if you are still young. The sense of pride you feel when you are reassured that you are making an impact on those around you can be really euphoric. How you treat those who helped guide you through some rough patches, I feel, can tell you a lot about your character.
That's why I believe in helping those who help you. It may be the most effective way to show gratitude to the people who helped you.

There was just one issue - the teacher, Mrs. Benton. I never really built a positive relationship with a teach so I almost solely focused on keeping my distance from her.
My first impression of Mrs. Benton, like with just about everybody else, was one of skepticism. Her overwhelmingly positive and friendly introduction was off-putting.
She came off as someone who would say what you wanted to hear in front of your face and tell the truth to everyone else. She just seemed a little fake. One of the first things I have learned about Mrs. Benton was her intense persistence. She kept chipping away, and through a lot of small talk we both got a feel for each other. Slowly, I found myself talking to her about more and more personal and serious things. I am pretty tight-lipped most of the time, but I guess I chose Mrs. Benton as an outlet. To be totally honest, it made me pretty anxious. By no means was I telling her everything, but the way responded to the things I did share was with a lot of care and concern. That was something that, outside of my mom, I had never gotten. Me opening up to her created trust between us. Mrs. Benton slowly put more and more responsibility on me, which
