The Columbian Exchange was where goods, foods, and livestock were exchanged between the Old World and New World. It introduced new things to both hemispheres. The Old World gave the New World lots of crops like wheat, barley, sugarcane and coffee. They also gave the Americas lots of animals. Some animals include horses which revolutionized hunting, cattle which gave Native Americans another meat to eat, pigs, sheep and goats. Sadly, diseases also spread. Some of these include smallpox, measles, malaria, yellow fever, influenza, and chicken pox. Those diseases wiped out a lot of Native Americans.
