Imagine what would happen if Columbus failed to find the Americas. Life would be very different. We probably wouldn’t be here and the U.S. wouldn’t exist. The entire development of the world over the past few centuries would be completely different.1492. Columbus set sail searching for a new route to India. The way this story normally ends is with the discovery of America, but this time a storm blows his ship off course. Him and his crew are lost at sea and forgotten about, never to be seen again. Everyone back in Europe assumes his crew fell off the edge of the world and that the world is still flat. The failed voyage scares anyone from attempting to try again for a long time. Technology spreads quickly through the country. By 1700’s the Americas had caught up to the development of Europe.New weapons were made to defend against each other, although war never broke out. The Americans lived in peace developing colonies on surrounding islands. Sustainable forms of energy were discovered in the 1800’s as well as the creation of sustainable cars eliminating the need for oil and gasoline. Development skyrocketed above Europe making the Americas more powerful. In 1900, an english steamboat set sail west and found the heavily developed Americas.When the boat arrived, the crew was astonished to see large military destroyer boats and land vehicles on the roads. The United Americas military greeted the boat and took the crew in for questioning. The United Americas agents, meant to keep peace for all of the Americas much like the United Nations, quickly translated the foreign language. The found out about a much less developed land that lied over the sea. The United Americas launched a full scale colonizing mission towards Europe.
