The nurse was more of a mother to juliet than her actual mother. The nurse was a kind motherly character who took care of juliet back in her youth. She got very angry when mercutio was playing with her. The sadness that she felt when juliet “died” was genuine. The nurse was all of these things motherly, angry, and sad.

In the first few scenes the nurse was acting motherly to juliet. Such as in act 1,scene 3,and on line 61 the nurse says this.”I might live to see thee married once.”. This says that nurse would love to see juliet married one day and hopefully soon. This shows that she is like a mother.

However in act three in one the scene she does get almost deathly angry. In act 3,scene 4,and on line 140-142 the nurse says this.”I’ll take
