Though the government set up by the founders is one of remark detail and resiliency there are always going to be problems involving the governing of men. One of the problems that has caused the most disagreement and attention is to rather or not the Unites states congress should enact term limits which would limit the amount of ties a person could run for the elected offices of congress. Without term limits congressman encounter the issue of not ensuring the best interest of the people but in obtaining the duties which entail the best interest of themselves. In order to remedy this troublesome problem I propose that Congress on behalf of the betterment of the country enact a tenure statute which would limit senators to serving three terms and house representatives to serving nine terms. In the 1990’s in response to the growing concern of little to no political change in policy positions, many states such as Idaho enacted form of political term limits which effected positions from state legislature to county level positions such as the mayor.
