Table 1.1 shows the results of the comprehension scores and reading levels of the Controlled Group before and after the intervention. Before the intervention, there were zero learners at the Independent reading level with comprehension scores of 80-100 percent, two learners at the Instructional reading level with comprehension scores of 59-79 percent, and seven learners at the Frustration reading level with comprehension scores of 0-58 percent. 77.78 percent were categorized under the Frustration reading level, 22.22 percent under the Instructional reading level, and zero percent under the Independent reading level. After the intervention, there were zero learners at the Independent reading level, one learner at the Instructional reading level, and eight learners at the Frustration reading level. 88.89 percent were categorized under the Frustration reading level, 11.11 percent under the Instructional reading level, and zero percent under the Independent reading level.
