I pointed my flashlight to the ground to find any evidence of the crime scene. Online, they had only shown a picture of the crime scene sans the body of course. The image was taken by the edge of the river. I tried visualizing my dream to find the exact spot where he lay while Casey searched for blood marks.

I closed my eyes and tried to recollect the images but my brain only kept showing me those eyes, those golden eyes. I shook my head.

"I can't concentrate," I huffed. Casey crouched down, focusing her flashlight towards something, then spoke.

"I think I found the spot."

I walked towards her and watched her pick a leaf up. It had a blood stain on it. They must've missed this one out while cleaning. It was so close to the river that the sound of running water could be heard even though the river didn't flow with that much pressure. I didn't remember hearing that sound in my dream.

It wasn't as clear as the dream but enough for me to realize Matt wasn't killed at this spot. He was killed much deeper into the forest. Suddenly, an image flashed into my mind that rattled me. My eyes flew open and my breath trembled.

What was that? It was as if I saw us but from a distance, in the same position, we were right now. How was that even possible? I looked to my left in the direction I had seen this image from.

"Mel? What is it?" Casey asked, her voice overstrung. I hesitated. I was about to tell her but resisted. If I told her what I saw, she would freak out.

"I- he was dragged," I said mindfully.
