I would like to pick out the second critical incident which occurred during the music lesson. The children from daycare, I had the opportunity to have my field experience prepared for a musical show for mother’s day. Children from all classes taught poetry, songs, and dances more than two months. The music teacher came to the daycare every other day. Critical incident occurred at ten o’clock with a three years’ boy. The groups of children were gathered in the central classroom. Children were seated at their cheers and waited for their performance. Children felt themselves very relaxed and happy. Unexpectedly, three-year boy, let’s call him Michael, refused to recite a poem when his turn came. The teacher reacted fast coming over to him asking, “What happened?”, “Why you refuse to participate?” Student did not want to listen to the teacher, and did not give answers. At that moment when the teacher asked Mickle questions regarding his feeling he displayed her defiant and hostile behavior. All children looked at him and some of them with friendly voice told him, “Go, go, do it.” Then, Mickle began to cry. The teacher took Mickle to another class, while all children will finish their performance. Additionally, after being in that room a few minutes, the other teacher brought him back saying that he is ready to participate in the repetition of the show. Children had a circle time in the morning. The teacher had explained to children about plants. Suddenly, the door of the classroom opened and a little boy, run into the room. He did not say anything came up to the music center, took the guitar, and began to play. Children from kindergarten class looked at him, but did not say anything. I was surprised that a little boy may walk by himself. The cooperating teacher said, that this little boy has an EIP program (Individualized Educational Plan), and he often betakes to their class, so his teacher always running after him. At that moment the teacher from the second group run in into the room saying: “I am so sorry, I think he wants to stay in your classroom because of the guitar” took back her student. I noticed that the teachers, knowing the repetitive habits of this child, handled the situation in a positive way.
