Crohn’s inflames the lower intestines and the colon. Crohn’s disease has many symptoms such as abdominal pain and cramping, frequent diarrhea, rectal bleeding, feeling of need to move bowels, and fatigue. In many cases surgery is necessary because the intestines or colon or both are so infected that they have to be removed. Surgery removes the infected area but there is always a chance that the infection will return. Medicines help to control the inflammation and prevent it from getting worse which doesn’t always work.
