As many may wonder where Crohn’s disease has started. Well it was named after a man named Dr. Burrill Crohn, who originally described the disease in 1932 along with his colleagues who had the disease too. Though Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract. As you may wonder with the inflammatory bowel disease, it is also important to know that Crohn’s disease is not the same as ulcerative colitis which is another type of IBD. Though with Crohn’s is will most likely affect the end of the small bowel and the beginning of the colon, but my also affect parts of the gastrointestinal tract, from the mouth to the anus. As for a doctor may want a lab to run tests on to see if you may have Crohn’s disease. These tests check for signs of infection and low levels of substance such as iron. However though the main treatment for Crohn’s disease is medicine to stop the inflammation so that it does not intestine or flare up at all causing you to go into remission. Most people who have the disease have a small intestine, which you may not be able to digest your food normally. Also stay away from butter and fried foods. Another way is to prevent the limit of fiber, is stay away from high- fiber foods, such as fruit and vegetables and other whole grain foods. This will make your body feel worse and cause you to have inflammatory bowel disease. So you can still eat your vegetables, and that just try to steam your vegetables or try baking them. Also avoiding these foods and other problems like spicy foods, caffeine, and any other food that makes your body upset at all. Also eat smaller meals sometimes its better throughout the day to eat multiple meals rather than eating two or three larger ones. Another factor is drink plenty of liquids.
