Have you ever had to work in a factory at a very young age, 12 hours a day and 6 days a week? Well, some people have to. Well, in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s kids had to. This is about child labor laws. This was happening in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s in the US. The problem was that many kids were mourning from dangerous conditions. The working conditions of kids were that there were many diseases that they could have become dizzy or clumsy and fall into machines and possibly die. First,the children in the 1800’s had to work very hard. One of the most common conditions is that a lot of fingers get cut off and some people get killed. Next, some people were more clumsy than others and were not paying attention and could get caught in a machine. The reason this happened was because the kids had nowhere near as much practice as adults did. They weren’t wearing shoes over half the time and they could step on something and it could be sharp and that was a great way to get an injury. They also worked 12 hours a day and those machines that they were working on, they could get very dizzy from hearing them.
