When I was accepted to Frank Sinatra School of the Arts I was elated. I was closer to what I thought were my dreams. Sinatra being a college bound high school, pushed for us to prepare for college or after high school plans. We made sure they were prepared for class; proper attire including, dance clothes, appropriate hair and no jewelry. I like my peers, demonstrated in aid of our teachers. We learned the combinations prior to auditions in order to be as prompt and productive as possible. During the auditions I took the initiative to help dancers who seemed unsure. I felt privy to help because I know firsthand, how nerve racking auditions are. Additionally, how you can befoul as a result of wanting to do well.
After the physical aspect of auditioning dancers, I stuck around to answer any questions the students had. I answered on behalf of my experience at Sinatra, how I’ve grown as a student nonetheless, as a person. Answering their questions on my experience established a new perspective for my future. I consummated that being a dancer isn’t all I aspired to be.
Along with being a dancer, my goal is to become a Physical Therapist and a Nutritionist for dancers. I believe this is a field that has been neglected over the years and should be a necessity for dance companies around the world. Being a dancer hopefully, will allow other dancers to feel like they can trust me and that I can relate to what they are going through.
