Tet Offensive 1968 Around late January the venom took a cease fire for 2 nights in order to celebrate Tet, the lunar new year. In addition, one night during the celebration the American troops at their bases were getting signals of multiple attacks around South Vietnam. Furthermore, what happened was the largest military strike in the Vietnam war. The Tet Offensive was a brutal night where multiple Vietcong sneaked motors weaponry and men in South Vietnam to attack multiple villages, cities, and U.S. bases. In addition, not only that, but the Vietcong also went into the houses of important government leaders during to execute them in their own house. Moreover, this brutal attack was the first thing American people truly saw in their tvs back at home This attack started the protest to end the war and pull the American troops out of Vietnam.
