(Yeah!)
ENS 3-4 Team Sports, term two, with Ms. Drake was ultimate!(frisbee). Over the course of the term, we did various fitness activities and played sports such as volleyball, ultimate frisbee, speedball, pickleball, tennis, badminton. We covered a variety of topics including first aid, eating disorders, healthy relationships, Your Mind on Drugs, Natural High, and sexual health. My favorite activity we played over the course of the term was speedball. Speedball is a sport almost like soccer and football. Speedball is a quick, fast paced sport played with two goals each guarded by a goalkeeper. Each team attempts to throw the ball into the netted goal. However, unlike soccer/football, there are multiple ways goals can be scored such as kicking the ball into the net with your feet or throwing the ball into the goal. I really enjoyed this sport because I had played soccer since I was four, but quit in the 7th grade. It made me feel nostalgic and led me to play soccer again in my freetime. …show more content…
In the beginning of the year, I was mildly out of shape, and did not know how to play sports such as ultimate, pickleball, badminton, and speedball. I tried my best giving 100% effort during every activity, which definitely paid off. I was able to receive treats for winning tournaments and due to the constant exercise, I have felt the most confident about my body and endurance than I have in a while. During the classroom portions, the topics introduced were very interesting. I learned more about gender identity, sexual attraction, abstinence, consent, refusal, and delays. I enjoyed the classroom portion and felt our teacher Ms. Drake did an excellent job covering each topic. She was very knowledgeable and was willing to admit and research and topic or question she did not know the answer
