I would rather drive in the summer, than the winter. In the winter there is far many more accidents that occur . There is also black ice which is a big problem that all drivers face,in the winter. There is many accidents that result in severe injuries, and even death, caused by weather related conditions. This is mainly due to the fact of hazardous road conditions, that news broadcasting stations can’t s report to the public concerning all the roads that may be affected by the storms, depending on where every individual lives in the area. During the summer months, all the roads are safer to drive on. It’s not only my mother with concerns, other family members are afraid of going off the road, and losing control of their vehicles. I have also heard of many accidents that occur during the winter months on the daily news. Last winter, my father risked his own life while trying to save my grandmother, because her vehicle lost control, and was going sideways down and embankment. My father managed to save my grandmother by using a tow chain to pull her car back onto the road safely. My father then proceeded to drive home, in doing so he totalled our vehicle by sliding off the road in a very dangerous location. As a family we wake each and every morning and watch the news, especially during the winter months. The news offers information like the cancelation of schools, wintery conditions, and the proper ways for people to try to drive safely. As citizens of the community we can’t depend on weather forecasting. It is impossible for weather forecasters to predict at all times what the weather is going to do, because the weather can change immediatley. This is also true regarding forecasters predictions on each and every road, that every person in the surrounding areas may be living
