I observed the group of toddlers in which there were a total of 12 children, 7girls and 5 boys. All of them were 24 to 36 months old. There were 3 teachers; it means the ratio was 1:4 which is appropriate to establish positive interactions among teachers and children.

According to the word pics of a three year old child, he or she has lively imagination, are talkative with or without a listener, imitate adults, and has strong sex role stereotypes (pp 55, 56) Toys that promote pretend play are very recommended. In the classroom there is a kitchen where children can play with fruits, vegetables and other types of plastic food as well as bowls and cookware. One boy was playing there by himself pretending to be cooking and eating. In a small table next to the kitchen, another girl played with a baby doll. She wrapped the baby with a little blanket, then she hold it in her arms and cooed him. Kitchens and baby dolls are toys with which children can pretend a lot and practice relationships and roles. In the reading area, there is a rocking chair where the teacher sits to read books to the children. Behind the chair there is no solid wall but a large window. I saw a child who climbed into the chair and began to rock himself hitting the glass with his chair every time. Although the child was not heavy enough to break the glass, I was afraid that any other child could join the first one at any time, which could increase the risk of breaking the glass. Since the safety of the children should be the main concern of a teacher, I believe that placing the rocking chair in that position was a mistake that can be easily solved by moving the chair to a different place and intervening timely in any situation of
