Food from Ecuador is so much different than American food. Their food ranges from simple chicken and rice all the way to roasted guinea pig. Their foods are so unique and amazing, I would want to try everything if I ever got the chance to go there. They not only have different types of food, but they also have different fruit that some Americans have not even heard of. They have such fertile soil, they are able to grow a bunch of different types of exotic fruits and vegetables.
Ecuador food is a lot different than American food. “Arroz con Pollo and Arroz con Camarones are both traditional dishes found throughout Latin America”(Says). Arroz con Pollo means rice with chicken and Arroz con Camarones means rice with shrimp. Even those foods sound like something any normal American would eat, it is completely different. “Arroz con Pollo (chicken with rice) – This dish is popular in many countries around the Pacific, and Ecuador is no exception. The rice is mixed with a tinted vegetable oil, shredded chicken, and various vegetables like peas, carrots, and raisins, and served with ketchup or mayonnaise” (Adventure

Local specialties include ceviche, seafood prepared in lemon juice; lechón, suckling pig; and cuy, whole roasted guinea pig-however, some delicacies may only be for the most adventurous stomachs” (Adventure Life). Personally, I love trying new and exotic foods. I think it would be so cool to be able to go to another counties and eat the foods that are “normal” to them. It is crazy to think how different culture is depending on where you go around the world. “Cuy (guinea pig) – Although this is more popular in Peru, it is still common in the Ecuadorian highlands to see many street vendors roasting these small rodents on spits. They have a tough texture and a distinct flavor” (Adventure Life). Now, no matter how adventurous I am, I do not think I could try guinea pig. They are just too
