Nintendo, Xbox etc.; smartphones that can also be used to play video games, Pc, tablets etc. An overwhelming number of American children between the ages of 2 and 17 are playing video games. According to the research firm, 91 percent of kids between 2 and 17 are gamers. NPD says that the growth has been measured across the market, but the strongest gains have come from kids between the ages of 2 and 5.
Adults 18+ play video games, they either play with their kids, family members, friends or by themselves. 68% of the US gamer population ranges from the ages of 18 and up, according to the ESA. 58% of parents play with their kids at least monthly , 85% of which said it's fun for the entire family, 78% say it’s a good opportunity to socialize with their child. Women 18 or older represent a significantly greater portion of the game-playing population (31%) than boys age 17 or younger (19%).
