Train safety is a big, must know, in driving. A person who drives needs to know when to stop at a railroad crossing, how fast to travel across, and if worse comes to worst how to manage and walk away safely. Typically railroad crossings are barricaded when trains pass which gives drivers enough warning, but occasionally you might not have such luxury, which is why we need to know the signs, and look out for railroads and trains. We need to know when and how to safely maneuver our way past these crossings.

Second, is specifically about now to stay safe around a train whether in a car as a passenger, driving, or maybe your just around the rails. If you are driving and see a train in the near distance heading towards you, stop and wait for the train to pass, if walking next to rails, stay off the rails, look for trains, and do not ever play on or around the rails, “children”. If you are a passenger in a vehicle with a driver coming up to a railroad crossing, inform the driver of the rules, be sure not to allow him to break the safety rules, inform him or her the rules are there to protect you and them. And in the end if we all work together then the rails will become a safer place for all of us.
Lastly, if the occasion ever arises that you or your driver happen to get stuck on the rails, and there is no time to react, first we need to know not to panic, and second is that we need get everyone out of the vehicle and away from the rails as quickly as possible. Keep in mind that a car is not worth more than a human life, once out of the car make sure no one goes back to the rails, keep a safe distance. Be sure that everyone is out, and stay clear from the
