I have been a mentor for these students in navigating and adjusting to the difficulties of adapting to college life and classes. In addition, I am serving as a student advisor on the NSU American Indian Advisory Committee, which meets with the University Provost once every month where we are attempting to strengthen the success rate of graduating Native American students. I also am involved and serve as the treasurer for the NSU Native American Student Association. Through these experiences, I have acquired new life skills and knowledge while at the same time providing service and assistance to those that need it most. From everything that I have seen and experienced, I have reached the conclusion that what I want to accomplish with my career is to be involved and of service with the youth programs to assist with giving our youth some worthwhile direction in their
